An empty House?
Copyright Robert Fullarton 2013
Children
look on
Astonished
as ever
To uncover
An empty
house
The world
itself,
Is a home
And some
say without a master
Or a maker
Where is
the warden?
The keeper
and owner
Of the
house?
These are
the offspring
Of an
eternal riddle
But some
say,
They are
the house
And the
house
Is their
identity
And their
need
But over
time
The house
Will be
reduced
To rubble
And feel
the chill
Of a silent
one
That
watches
And this
must surely
Be the
owner of the house
The dome of
eternity
Is within
some say
The dome of
eternity
Is outside
some say
And some
deny the eternal
For the
temporal
And watch
the weather worsen
As they are
Standing in
the rain
Washing off
their
eternal pain
