Corpus Christi

Royal Blue sky
set beside the golden lit bedrooms
incandescent human habitations
beneath the sky
silence sets down
the night chorus commences,
silver clouds like loose ribbons
line the suns retreat in mid-spring twilight
The living canvass fades
resurrection is a wanting
and one feels it to be so
in the thought of day's last breath
to din's descent onto the darkness
Men seek redemption
the dream is in eternal life
where the light will remain forever
where darkness will not tread nor crush
the fragile and sensitive shell of the human corpus
